Overview

The two-day Field Integration Training (FIT) course provides an in-depth review of the functionality of Environet, along with lab sessions, trainees will explore how devices are integrated into the Environet solution.

The training and lab agenda includes: starting and stopping stations, backing up stations, updating JARs, simple graphics manipulation, understanding commonly used protocols, system architecture, device integration and troubleshooting connected devices.

Completion of this course or demonstrating proficiency in these areas is required to proceed to the System Implementation Training course.

 

Training Details

FIT Training Prerequisites

Each attendee should be familiar with, and be able to navigate, the Environet interface and its features. If needed, interface training videos can be made available prior to attending the training course. It is also necessary to have a proficiency in IP networking and an understanding of data center needs.

Who should attend FIT training?

This course is intended for, but not limited to, System Administrators, Facilities Managers, Data Center Managers and NOC Technicians.

What are the goals of FIT training?

By the end of the FIT course, attendees should be able to start and stop stations, back up stations, update stations, make simple graphics manipulations, understanding commonly used protocols and understand the basic system architecture.

System Implementation

The three-day System Implementation Training course provides an advanced level of technical understanding of the Environet system. Hands-on labs will provide our end-users with the confidence to implement devices into their existing Environet station.

The training and lab agenda include the following: installing Environet, understanding standard and common objects, building Modbus and SNMP networks, DAC installation and integration, graphics, power one-line/thermograph/upper level graphic labs and duplicating devices.

SIT Prerequisites

Each attendee also must complete the Environet Field Integration course to be eligible to attend.

Who should attend SIT training?

This course is intended for System Administrators, Facilities Managers and Data Center Managers who wish to perform basic adds, moves and changes to their existing Environet station.

What are the goals of SIT training?

By the end of the SIT course, attendees should be able to install Environet, understand standard and common objects and build Modbus, BACnet, and SNMP networks. They should also be able to install and integrate a DAC, understand Environet graphics, duplicate a device and build power one lines thermographs, and upper level graphics.

Overview

The three-day VAR Training course provides our partners with a strong understanding of the solutions and products that Geist offers. This training will be held multiple times each year. The training agenda includes a comprehensive review of Racknet and Environet, as well as any new products or services that have been introduced in the last year.

Training Details

VAR Training Prerequisites

A VAR agreement must be in place with Geist prior to scheduling training. Each VAR will work with their Regional Manager to understand the needs and benefits of attending Geist DCIM VAR training.

Who should attend VAR training?

This course is intended for new and existing VARs.

What are the goals of VAR Training?

By the end of the VAR training course, attendees should have a thorough Geist overview, a comprehensive review of Geist DCIM solutions (Environet, Racknet, and Asset) and know how to be successful with Geist. In addition attendees will understand Geist design service options, DCIM selling and pricing, a typical Geist customer and have an understanding of Geist Power, Cool, and Monitor product lines.
